FR News: Changes at Chloé

And the fashion market continues to surprise us. Hannah MacGibbon, Chloé's artistic director since 2008 is leaving the brand. She will be replace by Clare Waight Keller who is also leaving her post as artistic director for the bristish brand Pringle of Scotland. Another announcement that contributes to the very unstable environment that the fashion world is immersed in the last couple of months.
Also in the news is the rumor that the maître Pierre Cardin is looking for a buyer for his  tremendous empire that includes his fashion line.

FR News: Riccardo Tisci at the maison Dior?

Although no official announcement has been made so far, according to Grazia Magazine Riccardo Tisci is really going to become the head designer of the Christian Dior collection, replacing John Galliano after his very public dismissal in late February. The announcement will not happen until September due to legal reasons related to the finalization of the departure of John Galliano. Time will tell if the rumors are true...

FR News: Is Carine Roitfeld becoming a fashion desginer?


New rumors have surfaced that Carine Roitfeld, former Vogue Paris editor-in-chief, is becoming a fashion designer of her own clothing brand. After model Amber Atherton posted a picture showing a label from clothing piece with Carine's name and a made in Korea logo, the rumor was launched into the blogosphere. Carine has been, since leaving her job at Vogue, linked to replace John Galiano's job at the maison Dior, in a collaboration with Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci, as well as to the position of Stefano Pilati at the maison Yves Saint Laurent.

FR News: Royal Wedding, and the designer was...

Finally, the moment the world has been waiting for: Princess Catherine revealed her wedding dress, a long-sleeved lace lace appliqué bodice, ivory satin and skirt, and a 2.7 m long veil , designed by Sarah Burton, the british creative director for Alexander McQueen House.


Designer Sarah Burton later stated to The Guardian:
"It has been the experience of a lifetime to work with Catherine Middleton to create her wedding dress, and I have enjoyed every moment of it," she said. "I am delighted that the dress represents the best of British craftsmanship. Catherine looked absolutely stunning today, and the team at Alexander McQueen are very proud of what we have created."
